A Plethora of Persuasions

I spent some time in the last couple of weeks looking at old journal entries.  They were written during the time that God was dealing with me about stepping out in faith and writing a new chapter in our story – planting a new church in Joliet, IL.  Through Scriptures and quotations from books and conferences, I can now see that God used all of it to prepare my heart.  Maybe God can use some of these same words to persuade you to take that next BIG step for Christ!

“I must be willing to become materially poor, if necessary, in order that I or others might be made spiritually rich.” 2 Cor. 8:9

“Everything changes when we come face to face with ETERNITY.”

“He must come through.  I have nothing else to hold on to – and that’s a good place to be!”

“The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?”  Prov. 20:24

“We loved you so much that we gave you not only God’s good news but our own lives too.”  1 Thess. 2:8

and Galatians 1:14-16 (paraphrased):

“I tried as hard as possible to follow all the old traditions of my religion . . . but then something happened . . . he revealed his Son to me!”

“When I think of the scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray.”
Eph. 3:14
