A BOOK REVIEW
I love a book when the narrative flows and you feel like your sitting in the same room with the person who’s telling the stories. I’ve read quite a few articles on the relevant topic, but finally there’s an excellent book that tackles the topic of loneliness in the midst of social media and crowds.
In “Connected: Curing the Pandemic of Everyone Feeling Alone Together” author Erin Davis calls our relationship struggles the “illusion of connectedness” and reminds us that the “conveniences of modern life are somehow robbing us of connection.”
I could post several great quotes from the book but I don’t want to tease you with the content. If you are struggling in any way with loneliness or feeling a true connection with others, this book is for you. I will be referring to it often and recommending it to many. PASS IT ON. Get connected! BH Publishing Group provided me a free copy of this book in exchange for my review of which I freely give.
